Last week, Instagram made me cry.

Last week, I cried because at the same time as my IG post was getting no engagement, ever story I scrolled through triggered my jealousy and deprecating thoughts.

The FOMO.

The worry about fading out of relevance.

The goals people are hitting that sometimes feel out of reach.

So I took some time away from the app, actively working against the programming that tells us we have to stay online all the time or the algorithm will punish us.

Because in a world that tells us to consume and perform and become the product, it's not just important that we remember our value as humans, it's essential. It's a beautiful act of resistance and claiming our power as deep, nuanced, magical people carrying stories that will last longer than us.

You’re so much more important than your highest performing content.

Please don't ever reduce your significance to this weird world we live in.

These numbers will never be able to capture just how important you are to everyone in your real life.

No vanity metrics will ever encompass how nuanced, complex, and magical you are.

You carry the breath of life in you, you carry human spirit in you. You are forever and always more than this little rectangle in your hands.

That's why I continue to show up online when I can, because I believe it's my mission to remind people how deeply worthy they are of being seen and celebrated. I'm here to remind YOU how deeply worthy you are of being seen and celebrated.

So, show up when and how you can to serve your goals and your mission. Let the rest go, friend, and live the life that reminds you how loved you are, breath in the life that connects you to the bigger world around you.

It's a quiet act of resistance, but it will change the world. Are you in?
